Electrolysis Frequently Asked Questions
Electrolysis is a method of removing from the face or body.
A very fine sterile probe is inserted into each individual hair follicle followed by an electrical current to destroy the stem cells and blood supply that allow the hair to grow.You may experience a heat sensation or mild sting from the current which allows the hair to detach from the follicle and slide out with the aid of tweezers.
There are several factors that affect hair growth, therefore the number of treatments will vary from person-to-person.
1-3 treatments for best results is usually recommended. There is no limit to how many treatments a client can do in a certain time-frame and can continue sessions until the unwanted hair no longer grows.
Sessions are 30 – 60 minutes per session
No deodorants, creams or lotions should be used on the treatment areas on the day of the appointment.
